We provide here links to a small number of organisations with which members of the Dolmetsch family have, or have had, a long association.

The Dolmetsch Foundation web pages are maintained by us on this web site.

Dr. Brian Blood and Ian Graham-Jones helped found the Southern Early Music Forum. There are fora the length and breadth of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. They support amateur, semi-professional and professional early music activities in their own areas. They act as a clearing house to promote early music to their membership. Many of the fora run workshops for amateur players of early musical instruments and singers and some organise larger scale events including competitions, festivals and summer schools.

Why not go the SEMF pages. The Southern Early Music Forum web-site also lists contact information for the other British and Irish Early Music Fora. The link above goes directly to the SEMF web site.

Dr. Carl Dolmetsch was one of the founders of the Society of Recorder Players and members of the family continue to play a role in the SRP today. The link above goes directly to the SRP web site.

The Dolmetsch Historical Society was founded in 1970 in memory of Mabel Dolmetsch, third wife of Arnold Dolmetsch, who was a pioneering figure in the study and teaching of early dance. The link above goes directly to the DHDS web site.
